Rhythmic Group

Rhythmic Group is so much fun! It is part of the Junior Olympic program through USA Gymnastics. They have beginner to advance levels. This year we are opening up a group for teens on Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons. Participants need to be between 13-16 years old.

Our practice is at the FSU circus tent. Practice will be on Wednesdays and some Saturdays in the fall. In the spring, Wednesday nights and most Saturdays. In the winter, during the months of December and most of January we will have practice on Saturday only and occasionally on a Sunday if needed for extra practice for competitions.

Students joining this group don’t need to be experienced in rhythmic gymnastics but need to have had some previous experience in dance, gymnastics or cheer and be able to perform a few basic skills. Some examples of basic skills are pirouettes or any dance turn, cartwheel, back bend, splits, leaps etc.. They do not need to have all of those skills but a few, we will learn the rest. They also need to be attentive, fast learners, hard working, have good manners and friendly attitude since we will be working together as a group.

If you are interested in this group, please contact us.

Our season starts in September 2023 and ends in June 2024. We will participate in 2 or 3 competition events in the spring term starting in January. Competitions are on weekends. The competitive program gymnasts also participate in our Spring Show performance, which is always on the first weekend of April.
