Recreational Classes

Our recreational classes take place at the FSU circus tent on the weekends.

Recreational class is for kids age age 6-12. This is a 2 hour class, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

We will open up a shorter class for the 5 year olds if there is enough interest.

Gymnasts will learn the basic body skills of rhythmic gymnastics and will also learn handling of different rhythmic gymnastics apparatus like ball, hoop, rope and ribbon. Recreational class students will perform in our Spring Show performance which is always on the first Sunday in April.

The recreational classes are split in two terms, the fall term and spring term. In the fall term our recreational classes are on Sundays, in the spring term our classes are mostly on Saturdays but will have a few weekends with show rehearsals on both Saturday and Sunday.

The cost for our recreational classes is per term. Apart from the tuition fee, there are two show fees. The first show fee due in November, is to buy students their costumes, show apparatus, and medal. The second show fee due in March, is for tickets.

FALL TERM- September 10, 2023 to November 19, 2023.

Recreational classes will meet on SUNDAYS.

In the fall term we will focus on learning basic body and apparatus skills.

SPRING TERM- January 27, 2024 to April 7, 2024.

Recreational classes will meet mostly on SATURDAYS.

In the spring term our focus will be rehearsing for our spring show. The Spring term is busy. You need to be available for practice/show rehearsals on Saturdays and a few Sunday afternoons. There are a couple of weekends with no class due to competitions.

There will be a few weekends with practice on both Saturday and Sunday to make up for the competition weekends and for additional show rehearsals. It is a short term but a very busy one.
